Travis Kelce has warned Taylor Swift that he wouldn’t want to get married in the fall.
During this week’s episode of New Heights, the Kelce brothers were asked for their thoughts on a fan’s desire not to have his wedding at the height of football season.
Rumors continue to swirl that Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl winner, and his popstar girlfriend will get engaged in the near future.
Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs star have taken the NFL and pop culture worlds by storm over the past 18 months, dazzling fans with their jet-setting, high-profile love story.
But Travis has warned the singer not to expect a wedding at the peak of the football season.
‘I actually don’t know people who’ve gotten married in the fall because all the weddings I’ve been to and all my friends always do it in the summer,’ he told brother Jason.
Eagle-eyed Swifties claimed a ring had been edited out of a certain photo from an Eras Tour-themed party thrown by Kelce in Swift’s honor in December.
Swift and Kelce did not spend Christmas together, as Kelce was in Pittsburgh for Kansas City’s game against the Steelers.
The pop megastar, who has not attended a Chiefs road game this season, was nowhere to be seen as Kelce and Kansas City secured the top playoff seed in Pittsburgh.
However, they are believed to have rung in the New Year together in Kansas City, reportedly sharing a romantic kiss at midnight.
Last week, NFL legend Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones hinted that the two are ready to take their relationship to the next level.
The former Cincinnati Bengals star is already picturing the A-List couple’s happily ever after following just 18 months of dating.
‘I’m thinking this year they are going to get married or after football. Of course, they are going to be together,’ the Pro-Bowler told the US Mirror.
‘They have got enough money to take each other’s money. But I do see love there. So I do see a baby and everything.’
The former cornerback, who knows Kelce from their days in Cincinnati – the Chiefs star at the University of Cincinnati and Jones with the Bengals – vouched for the authenticity of the relationship following many unfounded claims of it being the result a PR stunt.
‘I think they are in a real relationship. I know Trav, because he went to UC. His love [is genuine]. When he says he is with somebody, he is with somebody.’
Jones went on to liken the three-time Super Bowl winner’s romance with the pop sensation to his previous relationships, suggesting it proves their love is the real deal.
‘With the other young lady he was with, he was with her, and he found something better and moved on. But I believe Travis a hundred percent,’ Jones added.
