Reid also paid homage to his roots, reflecting on his early days as a young coach with the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles before finding a home in Kansas City.

Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs’ star quarterback and two-time Super Bowl champion under Reid’s leadership, was effusive in his praise.

I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.” Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb, who worked with Reid for over a decade, credited Reid with shaping his career.

“Andy Reid gave me a chance to be great.” McNabb said. “He believed in me when others didn’t. That belief gave me the confidence to succeed, and for that, I’ll always be grateful.”
