Taylor Swift made headlines for her appearance at the Golden Globes last year, where her ceremony conversation with longtime friend and fellow nominee Selena Gomez went viral.

This year, Gomez is nominated again, but Swift, who had a Cinematic and Box Office Achievement nomination in 2024, isn’t. As such, the singer skipped the ceremony.

Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, also had an away game today against the Denver Broncos. Swift also didn’t attend that.

At last year’s Golden Globes, Swift wore one of her most notable outfits of 2024: a green sequin dress by Gucci, which many interpreted as an Easter Egg for the much-discussed release of Reputation (Taylor’s Version).

Swift was last seen in New York City on December 28, wearing a Fleur du Mal minidress and a Simkhai coat.

On Friday, Page Six reported that Swift started the week in Kansas City, Missouri, where she rang in the new year with her partner.

Kelce and Swift “flew back together to Kansas City on Monday,” a source told the outlet. “Taylor and Travis spent New Year’s Eve together in Kansas City and shared a kiss as soon as it hit midnight. It was very romantic.”

Swift has yet to announce her next project after wrapping her Eras Tour in December. In her last Instagram post, Swift used her own lyrics to reflect on the global concert series in December, writing, “It was rare. I was there. I remember it. ♥️”

After finishing her penultimate shows in Toronto, Swift wrote on the platform that she was feeling a lot of emotions ahead of her last three concert dates in Vancouver.

“The emotions have gotten pretty heightened for me and the rest of the team because it’s gotten extremely real for us: Our next city will be the last one of The Eras Tour, and the closing of the most extraordinary chapter of my life so far,” she said.
