Former NBA champion Draymond Green addresses the Warriors’ struggles, expressing his belief that trades may be imminent.
The energy with which the Golden State Warriors started the season—winning 12 of their first 15 games—has completely vanished. Currently, they are sitting at a disappointing 16-16, having lost four of their last five games. This decline has ignited frustration within Dubs Nation online, with fans demanding results and calling for changes, including the firing of certain personnel. Draymond Green also conveyed the same idea.
Things are also heated in the locker room and on the court. A clip went viral showing the Warriors’ veteran and former champion, Draymond Green bashing his new teammate, Buddy Hield. After the game, when asked by a reporter, Draymond Green didn’t hold back. He bluntly stated taking shots at bench that if they don’t start winning again, trades are inevitable.
But it’s not working. You have to look at what works. And if that’s me at five, like I said I don’t love it for entire games at this point, but I love to win. So, and more importantly, I hate to lose. So, that’s what it looks like, that’s what it looks like. You gotta win games or I told the guys we all gonna get traded out of here, so we better win some games.

Draymond Green‘s comments are sobering, especially considering the ultimate sacrifice he has made this season by playing center to allow his friend, Jonathan Kuminga, to play his natural position as a power forward.
Steve Kerr also shared a similar sentiment a couple of days ago in the wake of the sudden discharge of former Coach of the Year, Mike Brown. His comments however, caught backlash on Twitter, with Dubs Nation calling for Kerr’s removal and advocating for Brown to return.
Steve Kerr’s striking remarks on Mike Brown’s unexpected firing
Mike Brown’s sudden discharge naturally drew reactions from other head coaches, including Rick Carlisle, Steve Kerr, and Mike Malone. However, there was a sharp truth in Steve Kerr’s response that sparked backlash from fans.
He mentioned that, at the end of the day, it’s business as usual, though he feels fortunate to coach for an organization that values continuity and allows him time to weather the storm. Kerr also acknowledged that he realizes this may not last forever.
I know they’ve been in a tough spell, but this is the NBA. We all go through tough spells. I just know that I feel very fortunate to work in an organization that really values continuity and that allows our team and our staff and our group to get through the rough patches. Because every team in the league is going to face these rough stretches like we’re going through right now……. I’m very lucky to coach here and work for this organization. It doesn’t mean it’s gonna last forever it means that I have been very lucky.

In spite of this, Golden State Warriors fans weren’t ready to listen. They criticized the Warriors for delivering disappointing seasons over the last three years. Some die-hard fans even questioned why Mike Brown was fired while Steve Kerr still has a job.
Home fans can be just as harsh, especially when their team is going through a slump. They don’t see the struggle and sweat that goes on behind the curtains. Due to injuries and new pieces in the roster, the Warriors have lost their rhythm. Next, Warriors will host the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday, who are also facing similar challenges.
