LeBron James’ Son Reveals Big Decision on Basketball Future

A member of the LeBron James family announced a big basketball move on New Year’s Day.

The Los Angeles Lakers star’s youngest son, Bryce James, revealed on Instagram today that he has committed to playing basketball at Arizona for the upcoming 2025-26 athletic year.

Bryce, a 6’6″ shooting guard from Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth, California, follows in the footsteps of his older brother, Bronny James, who attended the University of Southern California for the 2023-24 year, before being drafted by the Lakers in the second round this summer.

LeBron James did not attend college — having been drafted in 2003, two years before the NBA’s “one-and-done” policy came into effect.

In October, Bronny and LeBron became the first father-and-son duo to play in an NBA game together — before the Bronny was sent to the G League.

There are questions over whether Bronny is truly NBA material — though his G League play with the South Bay Lakers has improved. Bronny scored 23 points with 9 rebounds and five assists against the Cleveland Charge.
