KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Kansas City Chiefs are the first NFL team to reach 5 million TikTok followers and 1 million YouTube subscribers.

“This is a testament to Chiefs Kingdom and how our fans engage with us,” said Lara Krug, Chiefs EVP and Chief Media and Marketing Officer. “A lot of work goes into creating compelling content and maximizing how it’s consumed by our fans, and we will continue to look for new and unique ways to reach our audience on YouTube, TikTok and beyond.”

The only other American sports team with over 1 million YouTube subscribers is the Golden State Warriors.

The Chiefs launched their YouTube page in 2015. From August to December of 2024, they saw more than 50 percent growth.
