BREAKING NEWS: Man United’s coach Ruben Amorim has confirmed the removal of TWO Erik ten Hag’s summer signing from the squad after finding out what were telling other teammates which dulls their winning mentality.

Manchester United are prepared to part ways with two of their most experienced players during the January transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.

The Red Devils have picked up only three points from their last five games in the Premier League.

The club must reinforce the squad at the turn of the year, and this could coincide with some departures to free up transfer funds and the wage bill.

United would be open to offloading Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen if suitable offers are made during the winter transfer window.

Lindelof and Eriksen will enter the last six months of their contracts in January, and United are willing to cash in rather than lose them on free transfers.

United could permit mid-season exits for Lindelof and Eriksen

Lindelof has had a bizarre season with the Red Devils. He started the campaign on the sidelines after picking up a toe injury during a pre-season friendly.

Managers Erik ten Hag and Ruud van Nistelrooy used the Swede sparingly, but it was anticipated that he could play more under new boss Ruben Amorim.

However, the centre-back picked up a hamstring injury on international duty. He recently made his first start but was substituted with a fresh setback before half-time.

With his recurrent injury troubles, United would prefer offloading him at the earliest possibility.

Eriksen could likewise head for the exit door next month. The midfielder has played just 94 minutes in the top flight since Amorim’s debut game against Ipswich Town.

He made a start against Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup quarter-final but was substituted in the 54th minute after an underwhelming display away from home.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank previously described Eriksen as ‘world-class‘. Ajax could return for him, having considered a reunion last summer.

The duo’s departure could depend on them accepting pay cuts. United could also require a pay-off. The club could save around £7 million in wages with mid-season exits.
