Travis Kelce hit numerous milestones on Christmas Day as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 29-10 at Acrisure Stadium.
Arguably, the most notable accomplishment of the holiday for the former Cincinnati Bearcats star was when he broke NFL legend Tony Gonzalez’s record (76) for the most career-receiving touchdowns in Chiefs history. In the fourth quarter, Patrick Mahomes hit Kelce for a 12-yard score to give him the 77th of his career.
After the record-breaker, Kelce celebrated by dunking the ball over the goal post, which Gonzalez himself popularized. However, this act was banned in 2014 and Kelce was hit with a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct.
On Friday, a new video emerged of Kelce taunting the official who threw the flag. As the tight end was heading to the sideline, he looked over and mocked the official, pretending to throw his own flag.
NFL fans loved Kelce’s interaction with the official as they took to social media to leave their thoughts.
“funny af tbh,” one fan said.
“He is always ready for the petty Antics. And I love it lol,” added another.
“This is classic Trav luv it. Can’t stop watching it,” wrote a third.
“Love his reaction to that flag,” commented a fourth.
“Now that’s the Travis Kelce we know and love,” chimed in a fifth.
“Petty Trav is my favorite,” posted a sixth.
Kelce finished the game as the Chiefs leading receiver, tallying eight catches for 84 yards and one touchdown.
With the win, Kansas City secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC and a bye week in the NFL playoffs. At 15-1, the Chiefs will have one final game in the regular season as they face the Denver Broncos in Week 18.
