James Maddison suggests Arsenal’s £45m player is even better than Neto
Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus are two players who know each other very well.

The two strikers played together for a long time at Manchester City and both have been key players in the success of Pep Guardiola’s team in recent years.
However, they are now rivals at two London clubs – Chelsea and Arsenal respectively.

Interestingly, now a player from another London club has made a claim about both men.

James Maddison took part in the TikTok challenge on Tottenham Hotspur’s official website, ranking the best players in world football.
Maddison had to include both Sterling and Jesus in his top ten list, but interestingly, he put the £45 million Arsenal star ahead of the England international.
This is a very interesting debate and we can understand Maddison’s ranking.

James Maddison thinks Arsenal’s £45m player is even better than Raheem Sterling

In terms of recent form, Jesus has been better than Sterling over the last two years. Sterling’s form seems to have deserted him since he joined Chelsea, while Jesus has been a key player in Arsenal’s recent rise.

However, if we look at their overall work, especially in the Premier League, Sterling has to prevail in this debate.

It is easy to forget how good Sterling was in his best years at City. He was a goalscoring machine and played a big part in many victories and European performances.

Jesus, of course, also contributed to City’s success, but Sterling was certainly a more important player than Jesus for Pep Guardiola at that time.

Given his recent form, Jesus has the edge in this argument, and perhaps that is the reason why Maddison has compiled his rankings in the way he has.

They are undoubtedly the two best strikers the Premier League has seen in recent years and it is interesting to debate who is the better player.
