For Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, 2024 was a year full of personal, professional and romantic highs.

The couple — who began dating in summer 2023 — started and ended 2024 on positive notes. Kelce, 35, and the Kansas City Chiefs took home their second consecutive Super Bowl title in February, while Swift, 35, ended her record-breaking Eras Tour in December.

“It can be very lonely at the top,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this month. “This tour was one of the best [for Taylor] because Travis brightened it up.”

Between Kelce’s football games and Swift’s historic shows, the pair also enjoyed plenty of adorable date nights and public shout-outs, including new music from Swift allegedly documenting their romance. While the source told Us that “Taylor does feel like Travis is The One,” the couple are reportedly not looking to take any drastic steps forward in their relationship heading into the new year.

“Taylor and Travis are eager to spend quality time together because [that’s when] the little nuances about someone’s personality and habits come into play,” the insider shared. “They will learn so much about each other.”

January

After the Chiefs defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in a New Year’s Eve, Swift and Kelce rang in 2024 by sharing a midnight kiss at a party in Kansas City. “It was fun,” Travis said of the get-together on his and brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast. “It was cool, man, to have all the friends and family [there]. I think I had over 50, 55 people come in for this one.”

On January 28, Swift traveled to Maryland to cheer on the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens. After Travis’ team secured their Super Bowl spot, Swift congratulated him down on the field with a kiss.

February

As Travis prepared for the Super Bowl, Swift scored two wins at the 2024 Grammy Awards for her 10th studio album, Midnights. “She’s unbelievable,” Travis told reporters at a Super Bowl press conference. “She’s rewriting the history books herself. I told her I’ll have to hold up my end of the bargain and come home with some hardware too.”

Travis did uphold his “end of the bargain” by helping the Chiefs win Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers. Swift traveled all the way from Tokyo to watch her boyfriend’s big game, sitting alongside her and Travis’ families and some of her celebrity friends, including Blake Lively and Ice Spice.

In another sweet PDA moment, Swift celebrated Travis and the Chiefs’ second consecutive Super Bowl victory with a post-game kiss on the field. Travis later made his first-ever appearance on Swift’s social media in a funny TikTok video she posted from a Super Bowl afterparty.

Travis later joined Swift in Australia when she hit the road again for The Eras Tour. In addition to trading friendship bracelets and handing out guitar picks at her shows, the couple enjoyed a fun day out at the Sydney Zoo.

March

Travis continued to spend his NFL off-season supporting Swift at a number of herinternational concerts, including two of her Singapore shows. Swift was spotted running into the athlete’s arms and kissing him backstage after once again changing her “Karma” lyrics from “guy on the screen” to “guy on the Chiefs.”

In more social media footage from the shows, Travis gave the tour’s cast and crew their props by high-fiving them backstage.

April

Shortly after the pair were spotted packing on the PDA at Coachella, Swift released her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department. Swifties quickly theorized that several songs on the record were about her romance with Travis, including “The Alchemy” and “So High School.”

“Truth, dare, spin bottles / You know how to ball, I know Aristotle,” she sings in “So High School” refrain. “Brand new, full throttle / Touch me while your bros play Grand Theft Auto.”

Travis’ close friend Harry Clark seemingly confirmed that “So High School” was about Travis by sharing an Instagram Story pic of himself playing the video game Grand Theft Auto.

Swift incorporated TTPD into her Eras Tour setlist beginning with her Paris shows, which Travis attended. In true Swift fashion, fans noticed that the new section of the show featured several nods to Travis, including bleachers and stadium lights graphics on the stage during “So High School” and Swift and her dancers mimicking Travis’ touchdown moves in the choreography.

“It was fun, it was a blast,” Travis said of the Paris shows on the “New Heights” podcast. “I had a blast at Tay’s show. Her new rendition of The Eras Tour, I suggest everybody go see it. It has her new Tortured Poets Department [album], a handful of those songs in the new show, which means there’s a new segment and new lights and new dancing, new everything to the f—ing show. I suggest everybody get out there and see [her]. It is absolutely unbelievable.”

June

Swift’s London Eras Tour shows were full of surprises, including Swift and Travis taking a backstage selfie with Prince William and his two eldest kids, Prince George, 11, and Princess Charlotte, 9. The photo marked the first time Swift posted Travis on her Instagram feed.

Travis followed-up the photo by joining Swift and her dancers on stage at Wembley Stadium during the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” intro skit. He sported a black morning suit and top hat to help Kameron Saunders and Jan Ravnik get ready to perform the number.

“I’m still cracking up/swooning over @killatrav’s Eras Tour debut 🥰,” Swift captioned an Instagram slideshow featuring pics and clips of Travis’s cameo. “Never going to forget these shows.”

July

Travis gave his girlfriend a sweet — and hilarious — shout-out after winning a karaoke competition at the 5th Annual American Century Championship golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, California. “Taylor, this is for you,” he said in social media footage after scoring his victory, pretending to burst into tears. “I love you guys.”

August

Swift and Travis enjoyed a break from touring and football by hosting a get-together at the singer’s Rhode Island mansion. Celebrity attendees included Jason, 37, and his wife, Kylie Kelce, 32, Lively, 37, Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper, Gigi Hadid, Zoë Kravitz, Channing Tatum and Patrick and Brittany Mahomes.

“It has felt wonderful to be grounded back home again,” a source exclusively told Us of the party. “It’s been grounding to see friends and family and spend quality time with everyone, chat and get downloaded on everyone’s worlds because she has been so busy and disconnected.”

September

Swift re-entered her football era by attending the Chiefs’ season opener game against the Ravens and was spotted leaving the match holding Travis’ hand. She even planted a kiss on his cheek in a post-game snap shared by Chariah Gordon.

The duo enjoyed another sporting event together later that month, attending the men’s singles final between Taylor Fritz and Jannik Sinner at the 2024 US Open. Not only were they photographed kissing one another, but they were spotted jamming to Darkness’ hit song “I Believe in a Thing Called Love.”

That same month, Swift took home seven wins at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. In her speech for Video of the Year, she gave Travis a heartfelt shout-out. “I would finish a take and I’d say cut and we’d be done with that take, I would always just hear someone cheering ‘woo’ from across the studio where we were shooting it, and that one person was my boyfriend, Travis,” she said at the time.

Swift added: “Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic, so I wanna thank him for adding that to our shoot because I’ll always remember that.”

October

Swift and Kelce joined Lively and Reynolds, 48, for a double date in New York City. Fans noticed that their outfits subtly coordinated with one another, as she was carrying a black Dior saddle bag and Travis sported a shirt with a horse design.

November

Ahead of The Eras Tour’s final leg, Travis attended what would be his last show in Indianapolis. The city marked Swift’s final U.S. stop before traveling to Canada for her last batch of concerts.

“I’ll tell you what, man, the American crowds, they did not disappoint,” Travis told Jason on the “New Heights” podcast. “I heard that it was a lot more rowdy this time around, knowing she was coming back to stop through America one last time before the tour was over with. I’ll tell you what, man, that thing was rocking.”

December

Travis was not in the audience of Swift’s final Eras Tour show in Vancouver on December 8. However, he became the fastest tight end in NFL history to reach 12,000 career receiving yards during the Chiefs’ game against the Los Angeles Chargers that same day.

He congratulated Swift on the end of her tour on the “New Heights” podcast, stating, “Shout-out to everybody that was a part of that show. Obviously, it’s her music, her tour and everything, but that was a full production, man. That thing was the best tour in the world because of a lot of people, but mostly because of Taylor.”

Less than a week after her final Eras Tour performance, Swift giggled at a fan’s blanket which read “Go Taylor’s Boyfriend” during a visit to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Swift continued to celebrate the end of the Eras Tour with an Eras-themed party. JoJo Edwards-Helaire, the wife of Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, confirmed via social media that the party was thrown by none other than Travis, who sported what looked like the suit and top hat he wore for his London Eras Tour cameo.

“This looks like a wrap party,” one fan commented on a post about the event, to which JoJo replied, “It was a congratulations party. And a surprise from Trav.”
