Bulls news: Lonzo Ball to miss at least 10 days with injured right wrist

Lonzo Ball didn’t play in an NBA game for more than 1,000 days before he returned for a preseason game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 16 at the United Center.

The Chicago Bulls guard then made his regular season debut on Oct. 23 in the team’s 2024-25 opener against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Now, unfortunately for Ball, the Bulls and Chicago fans, he’s returning to the bench after another malady.

The 27-year-old missed over two and a half seasons after undergoing a trio of surgeries on his left knee. Thankfully, Ball’s latest injury is located far from his lower body.

The eight-year veteran injured his right wrist during the first quarter of the Bulls’ road win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Oct. 28 and is expected to miss at least 10 days.

Ball actually bypassed his minutes restriction against the Grizzlies, playing 18 of them and finishing with six points and six assists.

Through three games this season, Ball is averaging 4.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists on 33.3 percent shooting from three in 15.7 minutes per contest.

Josh Giddey and Ayo Dosunmu should see increased minutes at point guard in Ball’s absence.
