He underwent surgery on his right elbow on April 12 and missed the remainder of the season.Over his last five seasons (since 2020), the right-handed pitcher has gone 15-9 with seven saves and a 2.98 ERA (163.1IP, 54ER) in 139 games (three starts).

His 36 scoreless relief outings of four-or-more outs from 2021-23 were the fourth-most in the Majors over that span, trailing only Collin McHugh (44), Michael King (38) and Chris Stratton (37).

In 163 career games (11 starts) over parts of seven Major League seasons with the Yankees (2018-24), Loáisiga has gone 19-11 with seven saves and a 3.44 ERA (219.2IP, 198H, 95R/84ER, 72BB, 207K, 20HR). In 13 career postseason appearances, he has posted a 3.60 ERA (15.0IP, 6ER).

The Managua, Nicaragua, native was originally signed by San Francisco as a non-drafted free agent on September 13, 2012. He was signed by the Yankees as a minor league free agent on February 9, 2016.
