In his pre-match press conference, Slot said, “Conor [Bradley] is back training with us and might be in the squad tomorrow.
[Diogo] Jota, Alisson, Harvey Elliott, and Federico [Chiesa] are all out, and I don’t expect Chiesa to be available either.”
On Chiesa’s situation, Slot explained, “It’s hard to say because he’s had ups and downs. Sometimes he’s with us for a few days, then back out with an injury.
I’d rather not set a timeframe; we need to ensure he’s in top shape without putting pressure on him.”
Of the five players mentioned, only Conor Bradley is likely to return, while Alisson, Diogo Jota, and Harvey Elliott may remain sidelined until after the next international break—a concerning setback.
