Taylor Swift is the pop royalty fans adore for reasons beyond her superstardom. Sure, her skills are unparalleled and so are her achievements, but the love she receives from every corner of the globe has to do as much with the humanitarian efforts she constantly makes headlines for. Although this December, the end of the Eras Tour left fans with an unfulfillable void, Swift wasted no time wearing Santa’s costume and painting the town red for a Kansas City organization her beau, Travis Kelce, long supported.
While Swift’s Santa cosplay does not exactly wait for the merry season, the festivities do make it special for where it counts.
Taylor Swift makes the Christmas special for this Travis Kelce-supported organization
On December 21, Operation Breakthrough, a Kansas City non-profit organization, posted a video on X after Taylor Swift donated a whopping $250,000 to them ahead of Christmas Day. The organization works to improve the educational environments of children living in Kansas City, and in the tribute video shared from the handle, the youngsters are seen thanking Swift for her generosity. Swift’s beau, Travis Kelce, has backed Operation Breakthrough financially since the last decade.
According to USA Today, Kelce’s first visit came right after Mary Esselman took the helm of Operation Breakthrough as CEO when he arrived for Read Across America Day to read to the preschoolers. After that, “he just kept coming back.” The donation made by Swift will be reportedly divided into three programs–the workforce development and entrepreneurship, the before and after-school program, and the early learners program.
While the CEO’s praises for Taylor Swift had no bounds, her endorsement for Travis Kelce and his humility stole the spotlight.
Kansas City organization shows massive love to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
According to USA Today, Operation Breakthrough’s CEO, Mary Esselman, did not only sing the song of praises for the superstar, Taylor Swift, but also for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, whose support has been crucial to the organization. Since his first visit, Kelce has constantly stood by them, sponsoring the 87 and running robotics team. He reportedly bought a muffler shop 4 years back for the high school workforce development and entrepreneurship program.
On the December 8 game at Arrowhead Stadium, he arrived in a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle which the students modified into an all-electric vehicle. Esselman described Kelce as a “down-to-earth guy” who would throw random pizza parties and come over to the kids after school without any media. Although Swift is yet to visit them like she recently visited Children’s Mercy Hospital , Esselman hopes the Eras star will soon pop up with Kelce someday.
