The Los Angeles Lakers sent rookie guard Bronny James to the G League Showcase in Orlando where he made two appearances for the South Bay Lakers.
Averaging 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.0 steals in Orlando, James showed some all-around skills while continuing to struggle from the field. Converting on just 36.4% of his field goal attempts at the G League Showcase, James also made just two of his eight three-point attempts.
The South Bay Lakers went 1-1 in Orlando, defeating the Osceola Magic and losing to the Greensboro Swarm.
Following James’ performance in these two games, the Lakers have made a decision on the former USC guard.

Not listed on the injury report, like he was the previous two games while in Orlando, James will be active for the Lakers on Monday.
LeBron James, Bronny’s father, is listed on the injury report with left foot injury management.

Previously only appearing in G League home games, James did play two contests in Phoenix that included his 30-point game on Dec. 12 against the Valley Suns.
South Bay’s next home game is Jan. 7 against the Delaware Blue Coats, so if the Lakers want James to continue getting consistent playing time, he will have to travel with the G League team.
