Arsenal’s interest in Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has come to light.
Arsenal’s pursuit of Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford has recently been revealed.
It has been disclosed that Arsenal is considering a transfer for Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.
The United striker has expressed a desire for a new challenge, leading to speculation about his future at Old Trafford.
Following his omission from the squad for the Manchester derby, doubts regarding his position at the club have intensified.
Several Premier League teams are reportedly interested in Rashford, with Arsenal being one of the frontrunners.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has indicated that the situation surrounding Rashford’s potential departure is reaching a pivotal moment.
As reported by The i Paper, Arsenal’s pursuit of Rashford hinges on the financial viability of the deal.
The Gunners have faced challenges this season, particularly in terms of scoring and creating goals, as evidenced by their recent match against Everton, which highlighted their lack of depth and quality in the attacking department.
Both Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli have struggled to find form, making Rashford an appealing option for manager Mikel Arteta.
Arteta has, however, remained tight-lipped regarding the speculation linking Arsenal with Rashford.
The 27-year-old fueled rumors about his future during an interview with Henry Winter, where he expressed his eagerness to seek a new opportunity.
“When I leave, it will be with ‘no hard feelings.’ You won’t hear any negative remarks from me about Manchester United.
“That’s just who I am,” Rashford stated. He emphasized his intention to leave on good terms, noting, “I’ve seen how other players have departed in the past, and I don’t want to be that person. When I do leave, I’ll make a statement, and it will come from me.”
Bookmakers currently rank Arsenal as the third most likely destination for Rashford, following Paris Saint-Germain and the Saudi Pro League, as the January transfer window approaches.
Arteta declined to comment on rumors regarding a possible transfer to Arsenal during his press conference on Friday.
When questioned about the possibility of revitalizing Rashford’s career at Arsenal, Arteta stated, “No, and you know I won’t discuss players from other clubs.”
Rashford was omitted from United’s matchday squad for their 4-3 loss to Tottenham in the Carabao Cup on Thursday night. However, Ruben Amorim confirmed that the forward is set to be available for his team’s Premier League match against Bournemouth on Sunday.
“Tomorrow we have training, and he will be there preparing for the next game,” Amorim mentioned on Thursday evening.
“He is a United player, and everyone has a future at Man United.”
