The comedian and host of the 2025 Golden Globes says that amount includes tickets, travel expenses, guests and merchandise
There are Swifties, and then there are Swifties. It’s safe to say roast queen Nikki Glaser falls into the latter camp.
The comedian and die-hard Taylor Swift fan estimates she spent “close to $100,000” seeing 22 of Swift’s Eras Tour shows over the past two years.
“I want to be clear that we’re including travel expenses, hotels, and me also flying and putting up everyone that I would invite to go with me, plus tickets, plus merch,” Glaser, 40, tells PEOPLE.
The host of the 2025 Golden Globes calls the amount she shelled out “all well worth it,” adding, “I would’ve paid even more.”

“It’s nice to see the total that she made,” Glaser says, referencing the record-breaking amount — $2,077,618,725, according to the New York Times — in Swift’s total ticket sales over a 21-month period. The tour wrapped up Dec. 8 in Canada.
“I love that it was down to the dollar, and I could see my own money in that number and be like, ‘Yeah, there it is,’” says Glaser, whose stand-up special Someday You’ll Die, earned her a Golden Globe nomination this year.
“I justify that cost because I don’t have kids, and it’s something that I consciously decided not to do, and it was something that I struggled with,” says Glaser, who is dating producer Chris Convy.
“It wasn’t the easiest decision. There was a part of me that was like, ‘I would like kids,’ but it just doesn’t fit in my life. And so in order for me to make myself feel better about the decision, I did look up how much it cost to raise a kid. And so once I saw that number, I thought, ‘It’s no problem for me to spend this on Taylor Swift.’”
“People spend that much on their kids playing hockey for five years. So it’s okay,” she quips.
“People who give you crap about it, they are just jealous,” continues Glaser. “And I understand, I get jealous of people all the time. But it’s like… No one ever shames anyone for having kids and says, ‘Oh, what a waste of money. Oh, you’re flaunting your wealth.’ But for some reason, when I go to 22 Taylor Swift shows, it’s like, ‘You’re so privileged. How dare you spend that money.’”
“And it’s like, ‘Was I supposed to invite you? I don’t know you, ma’am.’ It’s very confusing to me. If I didn’t buy the $6,000 ticket, some other trust fund guy or some kind of hedge fund manager would’ve bought it for his niece,” she adds. “I wish the world were more fair. I wish it was a lottery. I really do.”

Her Swift spend quadrupled over the past 14 months. When she was a guest on The Kelly Clarkson Show in October 2023, Glaser said at that point she had spent $25,000 on nine Eras Tour shows.
“It just fills my life up with so much joy,” she said. “I’m in my late 30s. I just feel like, I don’t have kids, and I did the math and if I had kids, I’d be paying for dance camp and swim lessons.”
In a 2020 Instagram post, Glaser apologized to the 14-time Grammy winner for comments she had made about the singer, which Swift featured in her 2020 documentary Miss Americana. Swift accepted her apology, writing, “I appreciate this so much.”
After Swift’s record-shattering tour wrapped, PEOPLE confirmed that Swift gave out $197 million in bonuses (in addition to salaries) to everyone working on her tour — including truck drivers, caterers, instrument techs, merch team, lighting, sound, production staff and assistants, carpenters, dancers, band, security, choreographers, pyrotechnics, riggers, hair, make-up, wardrobe, physical therapists and video team — over the past two years.
