Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce seemingly opted for a more intimate celebration for her 35th birthday, but that doesn’t mean the NFL star held back on the presents. Travis had “been shopping for Christmas and birthday gifts for Taylor for quite a while.”
“He got her a ton of gifts,” a source told Page Six in an article published on Saturday, December 14. “[He is] not the type to leave these things to the last minute so he’s been picking up items here and there for the past several months whenever he has a chance. Travis makes sure to always listen even when Taylor doesn’t realize he is.”
The insider said that some of the “gifts are things Taylor has casually mentioned she would like.”
However, the Grotesquerie star, 35, was tight-lipped on what he had planned to celebrate her milestone birthday.
“Travis has only let a few of those closest to him know what he has in store for Taylor because he doesn’t want to ruin any surprises,” a separate source told the outlet.
Some fans wondered if Travis had to put off celebrating the “So High School” singer on the night of her birthday after he was spotted at the Kansas City Chiefs Christmas party that night, but the event was reportedly “mandatory.” Travis left “early to go be with Taylor for her birthday.”
Along with celebrating her 35th birthday this week, Taylor became the most decorated artist in the history of the Billboard Music Awards after taking home wins in 10 different categories and surpassing Drake. The “Alchemy” artist wasn’t able to attend the event in person as she was visiting a local children’s hospital in Kansas City, but she had a prerecorded message for her fans at the ceremony.
“I just want to say hi and thank you to the Billboard Awards and thank you to the fans because Billboard is counting your stuff, they’re counting what you listen to, the albums that you’re passionate about,” Taylor said in the video. “And so I count these as fan awards because you guys are the ones who care about our albums and come see us in concert.”
The Miss Americana star continued, “And everything that’s happened with the Eras tour and The Tortured Poets Department, I just have to say thank you. It means the world to me that you guys have embraced the things I’ve made and the fact that you care so much. This is like, the nicest early birthday present you could have given me. So thank you very much. I love it. It’s exactly what I wanted.”
Taylor is likely looking forward to some downtime after wrapping up her iconic Eras tour on December 8. The tour, which was originally supposed to end after a mere six months, ended up running for almost two years. She performed her first show on the tour in March 2023. However, once it was clear how in-demand tickets were, the pop star continued to add more stops. Over the course of 21 months, Taylor performed in 54 countries with 149 shows.
