The Kansas City Chiefs are set to take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 15, and they will be looking to push their record to 13-1 on the season with a win over the lowly Browns. For one of their top players, Travis Kelce, this game is a homecoming.
Kelce has blossomed into one of the biggest stars in the game with the Chiefs, and he’s remained an integral part of their passing game this season. His numbers aren’t as gaudy as we have seen in the past, but he’s still hauled in 80 passes for 682 yards and two touchdowns this season.
Prior to starring in the NFL, Kelce grew up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, making this game a return to his old home. And with the team touching down in Cleveland on Saturday, that’s the message they sent to their fans on social media alongside a video of Kelce getting off the team’s plane.
“Back to the old stomping grounds for Travis Kelce,” the Chiefs said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Kelce was a big Browns fan growing up in Cleveland, and he even had dreams of playing for them in the NFL. Instead, he landed with Kansas City, where he has turned himself into one of the greatest tight ends of all time who has helped lead the team to three Super Bowl victories.
Even though he no longer resides in Cleveland, the city still plays a big role in his life to this day. In fact, his popular podcast that he hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce, is titled “New Heights,” which is a reference to the duo growing up in Cleveland Heights together.
While Kelce’s allegiances used to be with Cleveland, they won’t be this upcoming Sunday, as KC will be looking to put even more distance between themselves and the rest of the pack in the AFC. If Kelce can put together a big game at Huntington Bank Stadium, there’s a very good chance the Chiefs will come out on top.
Kickoff for this game is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 15th at 1 p.m. EST.
