Chicago Bulls News: Brilliant Lonzo Ball Moment Goes Viral

The Chicago Bulls are a better team when Lonzo Ball is playing. That is a fact. They badly missed the guard as he missed more than two years of basketball due to injury. Ball made an emotional return to the court this season.

He is still on a minutes restriction as the Bulls look to ease him back into the fold. But even during his limited involvement, he is making his presence felt. Against the Charlotte Hornets, Ball had arguably his best game since returning from injury. He put up 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in just 19 minutes on the court.

One of Ball’s plays from the night has gone viral on social media. He showed great acceleration and determination to win a loose ball before somehow wriggling between two approaching Hornets defenders and lofting it up to Zach LaVine for an alley-oop. It was a beautiful transition from the Bulls and one that earned Ball a ton of praise on social media, as it seems like he is starting to rediscover his rhythm.

Some are even hoping that Ball is re-signed as one tweeted: “I really hope they re-sign him.” It is safe to say that the fans want to see Ball succeed.

He has become a sympathetic figure over the years due to his injury problems. One can only wonder what kind of a career he could have had if he did not have to deal with those issues. Ball remains a very good guard though and can be an asset for many teams around the league.

Of course, his injury history means that most would be reluctant to hand him a deal but if he can prove his fitness this season, could the former second-overall pick still have a future in Chicago?
