Bulls injury report vs. Spurs: Victor Wembanyama news, Coby White, more

The Chicago Bulls had a brief two-day respite between their drubbing of the Brooklyn Nets on Dec. 3 and tonight’s road game against the San Antonio Spurs, but that break may not have done much to change the team’s injury report.

Without Coby White, Josh Giddey had his first triple-double as a member of the Bulls, taking on even more of the ballhandling duties to the tune of 20 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists.

Down another starter in Patrick Williams, Matas Buzelis came off the bench and had his best game as a pro, dropping 20 points in 22 minutes.

The Spurs, meanwhile, are coming off a road loss in Phoenix as Victor Wembanyama’s 15 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists weren’t enough to best Devin Booker’s 29 points and nine boards.

A few stars will be missing tonight’s game, much to the chagrin of Bulls fans – one for Chicago and, unfortunately, one for San Antonio.

Everyone wants a glimpse of the French phenom, but Wembanyama won’t be playing tonight as the Spurs host the Bulls. He’s listed as “out” on the injury report with lower back soreness.

Coby White will miss tonight’s game vs. Spurs

Missing out on the chance to see Wembanyama is one thing, but the Bulls will be down one of their key players again as White remains out with an ankle injury.

The rest of Chicago’s injury report paints a somewhat grim picture of what is usually an overloaded backcourt.

The complete injury report for tonight’s game is as follows:

Chicago Bulls

Out: Coby White (ankle); Patrick Williams (foot); Lonzo Ball (rest)

Questionable: Josh Giddey (ankle)

San Antonio Spurs

Out: Victor Wembanayama (back); Tre Jones (shoulder)
