BREAKING NEWS: Liverpool star was spotted leaving Anfield on crutches after the game last night.

The positive atmosphere at Liverpool is undeniable, despite ongoing injury concerns and unresolved contract issues involving key players.

With the Reds sitting nine points clear at the top of the Premier League and maintaining a flawless record in the Champions League, Liverpool supporters are enjoying an almost perfect season.

However, one concerning sight at Anfield on Sunday, during the Reds’ dominant victory over Manchester City under Arne Slot, has heightened fears over the condition of a sidelined squad member.

Konaté Spotted on Crutches, Sparking Injury Concerns

Daily Mail journalist Lewis Steele shared a video on X nearly an hour after the match, showing Ibrahima Konaté on crutches.

The defender reportedly sustained a knee injury late in Liverpool’s win over Real Madrid last week following a challenge from Endrick.

According to The Mirror, head coach Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Konaté will be “out for a few weeks.”

An Untimely Setback for Konaté and Liverpool

Konaté has formed a dominant center-back pairing with Virgil van Dijk this season, with Liverpool conceding only nine goals across 18 Premier League and Champions League matches.

His absence disrupts this formidable partnership, making his injury an untimely blow during a crucial period in the campaign.

The sight of the 25-year-old on crutches suggests a potentially extended absence, which is particularly unfortunate as he has been in some of the best form of his career.

This comes at a time when Liverpool faces a demanding winter fixture schedule.

Fortunately, Klopp has reliable options in Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah. Gomez, who started in the win over Manchester City, delivered a solid performance in his first Premier League start of the season.

Reports suggest Konaté could be sidelined for up to 10 weeks, potentially keeping him out until February. While the timeline for his return remains uncertain, fans will hope the worst-case scenario can be avoided.
