Keshad Johnson was named G-League Player of the Week after averaging 30 points and 8 rebounds per game, shooting an impressive 78% from the field, including 56% from beyond the arc. 👀🔥

Miami Heat rookie Keshad Johnson was named the G League Player of the Week for his play with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the league announced on Tuesday.

Johnson averaged 30 points, eight rebounds and one assist on 55.6% shooting from 3-point range in two games last week with the Skyforce. He registered his third double-double of the season with 32 points, 11 rebounds and one assist on Friday in a win over the Motor City Cruise.

The undrafted forward from Arizona became one of five players this season to record at least 30 points and 10 rebounds in the G League. He is one of 11 players with multiple 30-point games (2) after scoring a career-high 34 points on Nov. 23.

Johnson, signed to a two-way contract, is averaging 24.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 steals on 40% shooting from 3-point range in nine games with the Skyforce. He is sixth in the G League in scoring among all players and 18th in rebounding.

The 23-year-old has spent most of the early part of the season in the G League and is off to a tremendous start with the Skyforce. He has registered seven games with at least 20 points and appears to have had no issues adjusting to the increased competition level in the G League.

Johnson has been among the top first-year players in the G League thus far. The team has found great success developing players in Sioux Falls, and Johnson looks to be the next to benefit from its program.
