Kansas City Chiefs with a 11-1 record, had been noticeably absent from the top five most-voted teams in Pro Bowl Games voting. One of the five most-voted teams and following an amazing turn of events in the first week of voting, where neither Patrick Mahomes nor Travis Kelce featured in the list of the top individual vote-getters.
Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, and Saquon Barkley have been the vote getters of the season so far; however, Mahomes and Kelce trail behind them. Unlike last seasons, when these Chiefs were regular Pro Bowl leaders, Kelce, a nine-time Pro Bowler, and Mahomes, a six-time Pro Bowler, have to increase their respective outputs before December 23st, the deadline day for votes.

Early Pro Bowl Games voting results do not include Patrick Mahomes among the top five NFL players. The top five most voted teams in the early voting results are the Kansas City Chiefs, Detroit Lions, Baltimore Ravens, Minnesota Vikings, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Mahomes and Travis Kelce are being overlooked by fans despite receiving numerous Pro Bowl votes, with Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley, Josh Allen, and Jahmyr Gibbs receiving the most votes, indicating a lack of popularity among fans.
NFL fans can vote for their favorite players in advance of the Pro Bowl Games, with polls closing on December 23. A total of 88 players will receive Pro Bowl honors though not all will attend the February Games. The Pro Bowl Games, launched in 2023, replaced the NFL’s one-off match with skill competitions and flag football contests.
Not every player nominated participates, but a Pro Bowl honor is a highly coveted achievement. Mahomes, a six-time Pro Bowler, and Kelce, a nine-time Pro Bowler, were nominated for the award in 2014. That is how much the best players in the league can be dedicated to their sport.
The NFL has released the most popular teams and players in both conferences after the opening week of voting. Baltimore’s Jackson leads the AFC in quarterback, while Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels is top of the polls in the NFC. Ja’Marr Chase leads the AFC in wide receiver, while Justin Jefferson leads in NFC WR votes. Kelce is behind rookie QB Brock Bowers in AFC polls.
The San Francisco 49ers are sitting at 5-7 but have George Kittle leading in tight end votes in the NFC and the Bengals have a great WR vote. Some of the other leading players in the Pro Bowl vote include Kyle Juszczyk (FB), Carson Steele (FB), Trey Hendrickson (DE), Nick Bosa (DE), T.J. Watt (OLB), Fred Warner (ILB), Damar Hamlin (FS), Kyle Hamilton (SS), Byron Murphy (CB), and Brandon Aubrey (K).

Kelce and Mahomes, both projected for Pro Bowl selections, have to up their game individually for the 11-1 Chiefs. Mahomes is ninth in passing yards this season with 2,979, and Kelce has only two touchdowns this term.
