🔻Arsenal finally completed the signing of a free agent attacker after terminating his contract with current club yesterday

Arsenal have been credited with interest in Brazilian youngster Gabriel Veneno following fresh reports from TeamTalk.

The north London side continue to monitor young talents across the world. Their recruitment team often focuses on players with long term potential.

Veneno, who represents Clube Atlético Mineiro, is now regarded as one of South America’s brightest prospects.

At just 16 years of age, he has already drawn strong interest from major European clubs. Scouts have followed his progress closely over the past year.

Record breaking rise in Brazil

The teenage forward enjoyed a remarkable 2025 campaign at youth level. He scored more than 80 goals in a single calendar year.

That achievement made him the first player in Brazil’s youth categories to reach such a number within one year.

His scoring record quickly travelled beyond Brazil. Several elite sides began asking for information about his situation.

Veneno only recently turned 16, yet he already shows strong physical development for his age. Coaches praise his sharp movement and calm finishing.

Observers believe he often dominates matches against older opponents. His confidence on the pitch has also stood out.

Those close to the player understand the growing attention. However, they are taking a measured approach to his next steps.

Contract protection and European interest
Clube Atlético Mineiro acted quickly to secure his future. The club agreed a contract that runs until 2028.

Despite the outside interest, a move away from Brazil is not possible at this stage. FIFA regulations prevent international transfers before the age of 18.

That rule means any European switch must wait. Formal negotiations are therefore not expected in the near future.

Still, the next 12 to 18 months could shape his long term future. Clubs will continue to monitor his growth carefully

Arsenal are not alone in the race. Manchester United, FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid have all made checks.

Interest also comes from Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, Paris Saint-Germain, AS Monaco and Inter Milan.

For now, Veneno and his advisers remain calm but alert. They know his path could soon place him among the most desired young players from South America.

Arsenal will continue to track his development closely. Whether they can win the race in the future remains to be seen.
