🚩🔻KULUSEVSKI INJURY DRAMA: Dejan Kulusevski has just shared a worrying update as his “complicated” absence drags on — and Spurs fans won’t like what they’re hearing. What was meant to be a short setback is turning into a lingering headache, with more questions than answers behind the scenes. The longer this goes… the bigger the problem becomes.

Dejan Kulusevski has been unavailable for the last eight months due to a knee injury with the Tottenham attacker issuing a clear message on social media

Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski has shared a three-word update as his lengthy injury absence continues. The Sweden international has been absent since May 2025 after picking up a knee problem which required surgery.

That issue ruled him out of Spurs’ Europa League triumph and he has now missed a total of 38 competitive games with no clear indication of when he could return. Despite missing the majority of the current season, Kulusevski is remaining positive and has now shared a clear message to Instagram.

Alongside his daughter, who is wearing a Spurs shirt, Kulusevski is all smiles in what looks to be a gym with the caption: “No matter what [sun emoji].” International team-mate Viktor Gyokeres has liked the post along with Spurs stars Destiny Udogie and Djed Spence.

The initial expectation was that Kulusevski would be able to feature at some point in late 2025 but that did not materialise. At the start of the year, Thomas Frank delivered an update on his condition where the Spurs boss explained what the plan was for the coming weeks.

He said: “We know it’s a complicated injury. If there’s one person who can accelerate that, it’s Dejan. He’s a top pro and has got a top mentality.

“The most important thing is to remove the pain in the knee. He got an injection to help that 10 days ago. We know in three to four weeks if it’s settled and when it’s settled, hopefully, he’ll be on the grass and from there, we’ll see what’s happening.

“It was not going forward as quickly as we thought but it’s an injury we haven’t seen that much in football history. It’s a complicated injury, where it’s important to make sure there’s no pain in the knee. That’s why he got an injection and it hopefully will help. So in three to four weeks’ time, he’ll be on the grass pain-free.”

Ahead of the Champions League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt, Frank was asked for an update but stated that he did not have one.

The Spurs boss has been forced to contend with several big injury blows this season. Pedro Porro and Lucas Bergvall are the latest to suffer issues, joining Rodrigo Bentancur and Richarlison as players unavailable.

Mohammed Kudus and Ben Davies are other absentees with the latter unlikely to feature for the remainder of the season and thus again for Spurs as his contract expires this summer. James Maddison is pushing to return from ACL surgery before the end of May after suffering his long-term issue in pre-season.

Dominic Solanke had also suffered an injury before the current campaign commenced but he has returned recently and scored in Wednesday night’s win over Frankfurt.

Micky van de Ven missed that European clash, and though Frank admitted it was only a minor issue, there was concern given his previous injury problems.

He said on Tuesday: “It’s just a minor thing. It’s not a hamstring. We expect him to be a big possibility for City.”

As a result of their victory in Germany, the Lilywhites finished fourth in the final standings to set up a potential last-16 tie against one of Club Brugge, Galatasaray, Atletico Madrid or Juventus.
