Mahomes may go down as the greatest player to put on a Chiefs uniform because of this stat.
Patrick Mahomes hasn’t even turned 30 years old yet, but he has already achieved some remarkable milestones in his NFL career. With three Super Bowl wins already under his belt, Mahomes added another incredible addition to his resume today.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback entered today’s game, tied with the late great Chiefs quarterback Len Dawson for the most passing touchdowns in franchise history.
HISTORY: Patrick Mahomes now has the MOST PASSING TOUCHDOWNS in #Chiefs team history.
Pat passed Hall of Famer Len Dawson. Mahomes is only 29-years-old.

Mahomes threw a TD pass to Justin Watson late in the second quarter to give the Chiefs the lead. It wasn’t too flashy, but it was enough to get him to 238 touchdown passes.
Mahomes lobs it to JWat for the TD! 🙌

Keep in mind that Mahomes was drafted in 2017. He sat in the shadows as a backup during his rookie year and had an incredible breakout season in 2018 when he was named the starter. It took only seven seasons to reach this achievement.

Today’s win over the Las Vegas Raiders was the two-time League MVP’s 108th career start. The record-setting touchdown pass was Mahomes’ 19th of the season.
Chiefs great Len Dawson, who sadly passed away in August 2022, is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and one of the best Chiefs of all time. During his career in the NFL, Dawson was a seven-time Pro Bowler and a two-time All-Pro. Let us not forget the Super Bowl run he led the Chiefs on during the 1969-1970 campaign.
Chiefs fans wouldn’t see an era that dominant until Mahomes came around nearly fifty years later.
Mahomes also entered Week 13, leading all Chiefs passers in career completions, attempts, and yards. He can now add touchdown passes to all of that.
The crazy thing about all of this is that Mahomes isn’t even a decade into his NFL career. He’s still just getting started.
