Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool future is back in MAJOR doubt as Saudi Arabian giants renew their push to sign him after his shocking dip in form this season

Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool has once again become a major talking point, with reports suggesting that interest from Saudi Arabia has not gone away.

Despite his legendary status at Anfield and the incredible impact he’s had over the years, the Egyptian forward is said to be attracting renewed attention from top Saudi Pro League sides following a noticeable decline in his performances this season.

Salah, who has long been one of Liverpool’s most influential players, appears to be experiencing the first real dip in form of his Reds career. At 33, age may finally be catching up with him, and his numbers so far this campaign clearly haven’t lived up to the high standards he has set in the past. According to a new report from talkSPORT, clubs such as Al Hilal and Al Qadsiah remain very keen on bringing him to the Middle East.

Interestingly, the same report highlights that Salah recently turned down a massive financial package from Saudi Arabia in order to remain at Liverpool, showing his loyalty and desire to continue competing at the highest level — at least for now.

Last season, Salah’s future was already hugely uncertain, with many believing he would leave before eventually agreeing to a new contract toward the end of the campaign.

That decision brought relief to Liverpool fans worldwide, who feared losing one of the greatest players in the club’s modern history. However, things look different now.

Salah has managed just two goals in his last twelve matches, and his form drop became even more evident when he was left out of the starting lineup in Liverpool’s recent win away at West Ham.

For a player who once seemed capable of following a Cristiano Ronaldo–like trajectory, performing at elite levels well into his late thirties, this sudden downturn has shocked supporters.

It raises the possibility that Salah might soon consider accepting the huge financial rewards of a move to Saudi Arabia — especially with clubs there ready to offer him superstar wages while allowing him to compete at a slightly less demanding level.

If Salah does depart, Liverpool will need a strong and immediate replacement. Several names have already emerged as potential long-term solutions. Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo has been linked repeatedly after his eye-catching displays this season.

Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise, formerly of Crystal Palace, is another exciting option many Premier League teams would love to bring back to England. Either player could help rejuvenate Arne Slot’s attack, though replacing a figure as iconic and prolific as Salah will undoubtedly be a huge challenge.

Throughout his Liverpool career, Salah has scored an incredible 250 goals in 419 appearances — numbers that underline just how difficult it would be for the club to find anyone capable of filling his boots.
