The Kansas City Chiefs took down the Las Vegas Raiders in 27-20 at Allegiant Stadium in Week 8.
While it wasn’t always pretty, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Co. did what they’ve done every single week this season and found a way to win. Mahomes completed 71.1% of his passes for 262 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
With 0:09 seconds left in the second quarter, Mahomes once again connected with wide receiver DeAndrea Hopkins, who landed with the Chiefs via trade just four days before the AFC West showdown. With that 16-yard catch, Mahomes became the fastest quarterback in NFL history to surpass 30,000 passing yards.
Brittany focused on the team’s dominant win. She captioned the post, “Undefeated in Vegas✔️ 7-0 let’s goooooooo.”
The Chiefs simply don’t lose at Allegiant Stadium. Including Kansas City’s Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers last season, the Chiefs are now 6-0 in Las Vegas. And as Brittany mentioned, Kansas City remains undefeated on the season.
This win marked Mahomes’ 81st regular season win, which ranks third in the NFL. The 29-year-old, who’s in the midst of his eighth season in the NFL, has 96 career total wins, which ranks second.
After the game, reporters asked Mahomes about his historic record, and like his wife, he focused on the team’s success.

“It speaks to the organization, coaches around me, and the players,” he said. “It’s a great milestone, but we’ve got a lot more to do.”
Yeah, like a Super Bowl three-peat. The Chiefs will look to keep that momentum going when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 9.
