The No. 2 overall pick of the 2017 NBA draft had been out of the hooping action for two and a half years. But where he hasn’t slowed down is his love life. The Chicago Bulls guard has been in a relationship for the past 3 years.

The hooper has faced flack from fans for going on vacations and sharing outfit videos with his girlfriend Ally Rossel in the past, while he remained injured throughout. But nothing has stopped the power couple from being there for each other in these tough times.

Ally Rossel is an American entrepreneur, social media influencer, and model, born on August 2, 1997. She has 192k followers on Instagram and 66.5k followers on TikTok.

Rossel attended Canyon High School and later pursued a communications degree at UCLA. It was through her sister Courtney Conejo that she met Lonzo Ball in 2019. She previously dated Jordan Clarkson before starting a relationship with Ball in 2020. The power couple was first spotted together in 2020. Quickly after, she confirmed these rumors by sharing a post with the caption “Mine”. Lonzo also reciprocated the heartfelt gesture with the caption, “Lockdown with you.”

Little to no information is available about Ally Rossel’s parents on the internet, who seem to be successful in the real estate business.  Ally, being the supporting girlfriend, started coming to Lonzo Ball’s games and would cheer for him. The power couple has taken vacations together, regularly shared photos, and attended various events, including red carpets and NBA games.

Ball’s injuries haven’t exactly been your typical run-of-the-mill injuries. He first tore his meniscus which is common but he tore it again and again until there was no meniscus left…

The hooper’s bones were rubbing against each other and his cartilage was gone as well due to the excessive wear and tear. Someone had to donate their meniscus and cartilage to get him back on track.

Initially projected to miss 6 to 8 weeks and return before the playoffs, the hooper never made it back to the court that season, facing multiple setbacks along the way until finally stepping back on the floor in October 2024.

With a meniscus and cartilage transplant, Lonzo Ball became the first-ever NBA player, wait scratch that, the first-ever professional athlete to return to the elite level of competitive sports.

He finally donned the iconic red and white Chicago Bulls jersey again. The Bulls’ hosted the Wolves at the United Center on Wednesday night. Coming back after such a long time, it is obvious Lonzo Ball had time restrictions to manage the load on his knee.

Coming off the bench in the first quarter, the crowd gave him a standing ovation. The fans had been waiting very patiently for his return. Ball immediately announced his return with a corner three. He then went 2-2 from deep, playing for 5 minutes and posting 6 points and an assist. Though he did not start in the second quarter, he returned to the floor with a little above 8 minutes on the clock.

The hooper did not add any more points to his name, closing his night at 10 points, but created chances for his teammates and contributed in defense. Lonzo Ball even blocked Julius Randle’s layup, which made the crowd go bonkers!
