
Both the New York Knicks and Miami Heat may be without one of their star players in Friday night’s matchup.
The New York Knicks are at home on Friday night as they host the Miami Heat in an Eastern Conference showdown as part of NBA Cup group play.
New York enters Friday’s game with a 7-4 record after losing at home to the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.
In Wednesday’s loss to the Magic, Jalen Brunson led the way for the Knicks as he recorded 31 points and six assists while Karl-Anthony Towns added 15 points, 12 rebounds and four assists of his own.
Now New York will try to bounce back on Friday night as they try to pick up their eighth victory of the season in a tough matchup against the Heat.
On the other side, Miami enters Friday’s contest with a 7-5 record after losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers at home on Wednesday night.
Norman Powell led the way for the Heat in Wednesday’s loss as he ended the game with 27 points and five rebounds while Andrew Wiggins recorded 15 points and 13 rebounds.
While both teams enter Friday’s matchup seeking their eighth victory of the season, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.
Heat Injury Report, Will Bam Adebayo, Norman Powell Play?
For the Heat, they have three players listed on their injury report for Friday’s game, including star big man Bam Adebayo.
Miami has ruled out Adebayo for Friday due to a toe sprain as he will miss his fifth consecutive game.

With Adebayo sidelined, Kel’el Ware will likely draw another start in his place where he will likely have a larger role.
The Heat have also ruled out Tyler Herro as he continues to recover from offseason ankle and foot surgery while Terry Rozier also remains sidelined.
The good news for Miami is that Powell, Davion Mitchell, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Ware and Dru Smith will all be available against the Knicks despite all of them dealing with lingering injuries.
Knicks Injury Report, Will Jalen Brunson Play?
On the other side, the Knicks have only one player listed on their injury report for Friday’s game as they have ruled out Brunson.
New York has ruled out Brunson due to a Grade 1 right ankle sprain that he suffered in Wednesday’s loss to the Magic.

With Brunson sidelined, Miles McBride could replace him in the starting lineup while Jordan Clarkson and Tyler Kolek could also have increased roles.
