šŸ”„YANKEES BOMBSHELL: Rumors are flying that the Yankees are plotting a jaw-dropping blockbuster, Cody Bellinger could be out, a $340 million three-time All-Star and MVP contender might be stepping in, and the deal could flip the entire league on its head…ll

The New York Yankees went out fizzling against the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALDS, and now they have to face the music of the offseason. One of those things is to find a replacement for their superstar outfielder, Cody Bellinger, who opted out of his contract.

However, there may be an easy fix. Fansided’s Christopher Kline believes that the Yanks could be a top trade candidate for three-time All-Star and perennial MVP candidate, Fernando Tatis Jr.

Yankees predicted to make blockbuster trade to replace Cody Bellinger with $340 million three-time All-Star, MVP candidate image

ā€œThe New York Yankees are at risk of losing two outfielders to free agency, with Cody Bellinger and Trent Grisham both hitting the open market. Bellinger feels more likely to re-sign, and Jasson DomĆnguez will almost certainly factor into New York’s solution, but the door is open for a blockbuster trade. Tatis was not at his best this past season, but his ceiling is among the highest in MLB as a five-tool superstar with incredible raw power — and, importantly for New York, a history of clutch postseason hitting. He can help counterbalance Aaron Judge’s October slumps and give the Yankees a bit more juice in their quest to reclaim the AL East,ā€ Kline wrote.

This past season, Tatis slashed .268/.368/.446/.814, with 27 doubles, 25 home runs, 71 RBI, and 32 stolen bases in 155 games. His two Platinum Gloves also prove he’s a top-tier defender, and a step up from Bellinger’s one Gold Glove.

With Tatis, the Yankees would have a stellar defensive presence in the outfield and at shortstop if Anthony Volpe goes down at any point. Tatis’ offensive numbers would go up as well, playing half his season in a hitter-friendly park such as Yankee Stadium.

Hopefully, the Yankees get to crafting an offer soon; otherwise, some other contender will swoop right in and make a deal, forcing the Yanks to look elsewhere.
