Steph Curry offered his thoughts following the Golden State Warriors’ loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Monday. The Warriors are in the midst of their worst stretch of the season. After starting with a 12-3 record, the Warriors have dropped back-to-back games as a betting favorite.
The Warriors hosted the Brooklyn Nets in the first leg of a back-to-back at home. Despite entering as a 13.5-point underdog, Brooklyn mustered a comeback effort to win their second consecutive game, beating Curry and Co. 128-120.
Steph Curry: “We’re still playing 12 guys. You have to be able to adjust no matter what the combinations are… We all have to be committed to making those adjustments. “We’re still playing 12 guys,” Curry said. “You have to be able to adjust no matter what the combinations are. Offensively, moving the ball, everybody being involved as a screener, as a passer, as a dribbler.

“I think we could be a little bit more intentional about what type of shots we’re trying to create with certain lineups. That’s part of the growth of the team. We all have to be committed to making those adjustments.”
Curry remained calm amid the two-game skid as he said:
“On the whole, we’re playing pretty solid for the most part. There is another level to get to, and that will kind of decide what the fate of this team is.”
Few active NBA players have the championship pedigree of four-time NBA champion Steph Curry, who looks to lead the Warriors to a fifth title in 11 seasons. In 13 games this season, he’s averaging 22.0 points, 6.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds on 47.5% shooting.
Steph Curry shines in loss to Nets
Despite the loss to the Nets, Steph Curry led the Warriors with a heroic performance. He scored a team-high 28 points, connecting on 8-of-16 3-point attempts, and also distributed seven assists and grabbed four rebounds.
The Warriors were decent offensively, but their effort on the defensive end of the floor wore thin as Brooklyn stormed back. The Nets mustered an 18-point comeback after trailing 86-68 at 7:13 in the third quarter. They outscored the Warriors 70-53 in the second half, behind 31 points from Dennis Schroder and 23 points from Cam Thomas.
Golden State will be back in action for the second leg of their back-to-back on Wednesday night, hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder in a highly anticipated Western Conference matchup.
