Josh Allen catches up with Patrick Mahomes after Chiefs-Bills game on Sunday.
The most anticipated matchup of Week 9 took place on Sunday evening as the Kansas City Chiefs traveled to Highmark Stadium for a showdown with the Buffalo Bills — a familiar rivalry that has defined much of the AFC over recent seasons.
This time, it was Buffalo’s night. The Bills controlled the game from start to finish, and while the Chiefs managed to stay within striking distance, the home team pulled out an impressive 28–21 victory behind a stellar defensive effort and standout performances from Josh Allen and running back James Cook.
Allen was nearly flawless, completing 23 of 26 passes for 273 yards and three total touchdowns, while Cook carried the ball 27 times for 114 yards.
Following the game, Allen made his way to midfield to meet with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes — a longtime friend off the field and one of his fiercest competitors on it.

With the victory, Josh Allen has now won five consecutive regular-season showdowns against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, improving to 5–1 since becoming the Bills’ starter.
However, it’s been a completely different story in the postseason, where Mahomes holds a perfect 4–0 record against Allen and the Bills, with their most recent meeting coming in last season’s AFC Championship Game.
With the loss, Kansas City drops to 5–4 on the season, while Buffalo improves to 6–2, sitting just behind the New England Patriots (7–2) in the AFC East standings.
