Tottenham forward Richarlison has reportedly given the go-ahead for negotiations over a potential 2026 transfer, with a £17 million hurdle currently standing in the way.
The Brazilian striker has granted his admirers permission to approach Spurs regarding a January move, amid growing speculation that Tottenham are in the market for a new top-class number nine. With suggestions that one experienced forward could be sold in the winter window, Richarlison is now believed to be open to leaving North London.
According to journalist Fabrício Lopes, the 28-year-old is prepared to join Flamengo if an agreement can be reached between the two clubs. Lopes told Bolavip: “The one Flamengo really want is Richarlison, the former Fluminense man. The values are still being discussed and are much higher than what Brazilian clubs usually pay. But Richarlison has already given the ‘ok’ to negotiate with Flamengo if he returns to South America.”
Tottenham reportedly demanded £35 million for Richarlison in the summer, which stalled any move, but recent claims suggest the club may now be willing to accept around £17 million for him in January. However, other reports indicate Spurs could hold off until next summer before finalising a deal.
