Terry Bradshaw left his fellow FOX Sports colleagues, Curt Menefee, Howie Long and Michael Strahan dumbfounded after he explained how his recent efforts to contact Andy Reid had gone

Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and FOX Sports analyst Terry Bradshaw left his broadcasting colleagues stunned after he admitted to his efforts to contact Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.

While tributes poured in following the shock passing of former New York Jets legend Nick Mangold, which moved his old head coach Rex Ryan to tears on ESPN’s Sunday NFL coverage, FOX spent some of their time on-air focusing on Monday Night Football, which will see the Chiefs welcome the Washington Commanders to Arrowhead.

It came after Tom Brady was put on the back foot on the show before Terry Bradshaw softened the blow.

Following a mixed start to their season, the Chiefs (4-3) look as though they could be about to get hot at the right time, with Kansas City recently welcoming back wide receiver Rashee Rice to their lineup following his suspension. Meanwhile, Washington heads into the game at 3-4 and will be without quarterback Jayden Daniels.

But bizarrely, FOX’s analysis of the game between the Commanders and Chiefs devolved into a conversation about how Bradshaw had tried to get in contact with Reid ahead of the game at Arrowhead, only to find himself getting a reply from a “some guy selling pigs.”

Having offered up his initial thoughts on the game, Bradshaw said: “But the thing that I would worry about more so in Washington is, the other day, I texted Andy Reid, and I got a text back, and I thought it was Andy Reid but it was some guy selling pigs.

“It sounded good, I shouldn’t have told y’all that so y’all would have thought that I actually talked to Andy Reid.”

Hilariously, Bradshaw’s fellow FOX broadcasters, host Curt Menefee and former NFL stars Howie Long and Michael Strahan, were left utterly dumbfounded by Bradshaw’s tangent.

“I wish you could see the people behind the cameras because they’re like [stunned],” said Long. Fans on social media also chimed in with their thoughts. One wrote on X: “Terry has been must see tv this year.”

A second added: “For all the c— people give him, you can’t break down a game better than Terry Bradshaw does here.”

A third said: “Look at Michael Strahan’s reaction to Terry Bradshaw at the very end.”

While the Chiefs will not have to deal with Daniels on Monday night, Reid told reporters on Thursday he expects the Commanders to pose his team a real challenge. “We know they’re a good football team, a veteran group of players that are good football players,” said Reid.

“And they’ve got a head coach that I consider right at the top of his profession at this time. He’s as good as anybody, and then he’s got good coordinators there. Offensively, defensively, special teams, they’ve got explosive players.

“They’ve got good guys up front on both sides of the ball.”
