When Jason Kelce sat down to chat on “The Rich Eisen Show” on Monday, the interview gave the former Philadelphia Eagles star a chance to reflect on a dilemma that showed how crazy his life has become in a short period of time.

Since his retirement from the NFL in March, the older Kelce brother has become a bona fide media star.

He turned the success of his “New Heights” podcast with Travis Kelce into an analyst role on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” and, as of this week, his own late night show on the network.

And yet, sometimes the things you say “no” to say more about you than the positions you accept. Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift has been a huge part of the Kelces’ meteoric rise in fame.

Jason name-dropped her fans as the driving factor when “New Heights” won iHeartRadio’s podcast of the year award in March.

“The past two years, between the podcast, the Super Bowl with Travis, Travis dating Taylor, it has been a very whirlwind of events,” Jason told Eisen on Monday.

While the Kelces reaped the rewards – Travis has launched a Hollywood career and Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, now has her own podcast, too – Swift never asked for anything in return. The Kelce fam loves a podcast.

He revealed to Eisen that Swift has offered to “take care” of anybody who asks him for tickets to a concert.

Given that tickets to Swift’s final Eras Tour shows in Canada started around $1,500, it was an incredibly generous offer.

“Thankfully, I don’t get a lot of people reaching out for Taylor Swift tickets,” Kelce said, “but it is an immediate no.” Jason mentioning Taylor offered to supply him with as many eras tour tickets as he wants and him immediately declining because he didn’t want to take advantage of her and create a weird dynamic in their relationship pic.twitter.com/LZ7sP3cYlT — ᖭི༏ᖫྀ (@savahannaISme) November 26, 2024 “I’m not going to be the one to impose on that,” he explained.

“She’s been nothing but lovely to our family. I don’t want that to kind of be a dynamic.” Kelce’s commitment to not taking handouts is part of the authentic character that his fans can’t help but love – no matter what new heights he reaches next.
