Blake Lively enjoyed a rare night out in New York City over the weekend after a report surfaced that she has not spoken to Taylor Swift since her Justin Baldoni lawsuit began in December 2024.
The last time Lively and Swift was pictured together was in October 2024.
The 38-year-old actress took to Instagram to reflect on spending time with the cast of Broadway’s Hamilton. Via Instagram Stories, she shared multiple photos with her 42.4 million followers, and added gushing captions.
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants sensation posed with the stars of the show and wrote, ‘I cannot stop thinking about this current cast of @hamiltonmusical.’
She then encouraged her fans to ‘run, run, run to see them while you still can.’
Highlighting multihyphenate artist Lin-Manuel Miranda, she said, ‘Also. @lin_manuel’s brain must be studied. This man. my word. I can’t fathom how one person can hold so much brilliance, heart, intelligence, relatability, possibility, dexterity, and kindness.’
The legal battle subsequently affected her friendship with pop star Taylor Swift.
Justin’s team subpoenaed Blake for text messages, emails and any other messages between her and the singer.
His lawyers were then allowed to pore through the text trail, with all communications related to It Ends With Us set for scrutiny.
In one text exchange, Blake appeared to refer to herself as the Game of Thrones character Khaleesi, and to Taylor as one of her ‘dragons.’
Elsewhere in Justin’s filing is the claim that Taylor was present at a meeting convened by Blake at her New York penthouse to discuss It Ends With Us script changes.
Sources close to Taylor insisted the singer had no knowledge of the meeting and simply arrived to find it underway.
The situation reportedly left the songstress — who is godmother to Blake’s three daughters — feeling ‘exploited’ by her friend of ten years.
