New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor shared a message after his wife’s personal news.
Francisco Lindor and the New York Mets were one of the more disappointing teams across the MLB this season. They finished the year with an 83-79 record, which saw them finish 13 games behind the Philadelphia Phillies in the NL East, and also miss out on the playoffs despite spending over $342 million on the roster this season alone.
Lindor, 31, was a bright spot this season as he was named to his fifth All-Star team, and also hit .267 with 31 home runs, 86 RBIs and 31 stolen bases. However, the star shortstop wasn’t the only member of his family to capture the hearts of Mets fans this season, as his wife, Katia, dazzled with her ability to play the violin.
She performed the national anthem ahead of the team’s Sept. 16 clash with the San Diego Padres, which was also the night that her husband was revealed as the nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award.
Katia’s violinist skill set has also helped her make waves in the music industry, as it was recently revealed that she will have the chance to play at Carnegie Hall.
“🎻✨ From performing the National Anthem at @citifield to now taking the stage at @carnegiehall, we’re proud to announce that violinist Katia Reguero Lindor will join Bernie Williams, Jonathan Tetelman, Jose Reyes and Stephon Marbury on January 13, 2026 for a truly once-in-a-lifetime concert,” wrote AllStar Encore on Instagram.
The post revealed that Lindor will be performing with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and alongside New York Yankees legend and Grammy-nominated artist, Bernie Williams.
“This concert celebrates the intersection of arts and athletics in a night of music, storytelling, and New York Pride,” wrote Carnegie Hall.
As expected, her MLB star husband was extremely proud, taking to Instagram to congratulate her.
The MLB star married his wife in 2021, and they have three children together.
Between their dad’s baseball abilities and their mom’s musical gift, the Lindor kids may have some of the most talented parents in the world.
