The Kansas City Chiefs fell 31-28 to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football, one day after tight end Travis Kelce celebrated his 36th birthday.
Kelce, who caught 7-of-8 passes for 61 yards and a touchdown against Jacksonville, spoke about the team’s performance on the latest episode of his “New Heights” podcast.
“Hats off to the Jags,” Kelce said. “They finished the game. They finished the game when we didn’t, man. They played a cleaner game towards the end of the game than we did. And their special teams, their offense, and defense outperformed us, man.”
Kansas City racked up more net passing yards and net rushing yards than the Jaguars and won the turnover battle. However, they also racked up a total of 13 penalties for 109 yards. The 10-time Pro Bowler didn’t want to dwell too much on the loss with the Detroit Lions coming to Arrowhead Stadium in Week 6.

“We’re moving on,” Kelce said. “We got the [expletive] Lions coming in. I don’t need to really talk anymore about the Jags loss. Everybody saw firsthand all the debauchery that (expletive) happened that game. And we just got to be better.”
Kelce’s fiancée, Taylor Swift, did not make it to EverBank Stadium for the Chiefs-Jaguars game, as she’s in the midst of a busy promotional tour for her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” which dropped on October 3.
Kelce inspired numerous songs on the album, and the 14-time Grammy winner has gushed over the Chiefs star and their engagement in multiple interviews.
Taylor Swift’s Net Worth Ballooned To Over $2 Billion Amid Her Latest Album Release
While Swift’s album broke numerous single-day streaming records following its release, the pop star continues to make history.
After the Chiefs’ game, Billboard reported that “The Life of a Showgirl” has already sold more than 3.5 million album units (physical and digital), the biggest first-week numbers ever recorded since they started charting data in 2014.
Between the global success of the “Eras Tour,” the release of the “The Tortured Poets Department,” Swift reclaiming the master of her first six albums in May, and her latest drop, the “Opalite” singer has grown exponentially richer. Bloomberg reported that Swift’s net worth as of October 2025 is $2.1 billion, up $1 billion from two years ago.
One fan account posted on Wednesday, “My contribution to this number should get me an invite to the wedding 😂.” Another person wrote, “Now whenever someone uses billionaire as a slur, I’m going to just correct them and go *multi-billionaire.” One woman added, “Holy [expletive]. This is unbelievably rare, and the haters out there saying this album is a flop, it DOUBLED her worth.”
Taylor Swift Is Not Going On Another Tour, She’s Looking Forward to Wedding Planning
When asked if she plans to go back on tour, “I’m going to be really honest with you, like, I am so tired,” she told BBC Radio 1. “When I think about doing it again… because I would want to do it really well, again.”
Instead, she’s looking forward to wedding planning with Kelce. “[Swift’s] been super focused on work commitments,” a source told People. “She’s not kidding when she says she’s exhausted. She’s ready for a break so she can focus on the wedding.”
During her appearance on “The Tonight Show on Jimmy Fallon,” Swift spoke about Kelce’s proposal and admitted she can’t stop staring at her ring. “I look at it constantly, like it doesn’t feel in any way normal for me. I’m just like, ‘Man, whoa.’
“But it’s more than that. He’s just my favorite person I’ve ever met — no offense to everyone else, but the fact that this is the person I get to get hang out with every day forever, that’s the whole thing of it.”
