Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium on September 28, 2025.The Kansas City Chiefs look to continue their hot streak when they face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football in Week 5. One day before the primetime matchup, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce celebrates his 36th birthday. However, donât expect Kelce to plan a big party. âItâs not a good day, itâs just an annoying day for me,â he said on his âNew Heightsâ podcast. âI donât want to get into the Grinch of birthdays, but Iâm just not in on birthdays.â
Kelce still had one epic year. He found the love of his life in Taylor Swift, and the couple announced their engagement in August. Kelce proposed to the 35-year-old pop star after she appeared on his âNew Heightsâ in August. During her record-breaking guest appearance on the show, Swift first announced her new album, âThe Life of a Showgirl,â and its October 3rd release date.
The All-Pro tight end inspired numerous songs on the 12-track album, which is already making history. Billboard reported that âThe Life of a Showgirlâ sold 2.7 million copies in traditional album sales, marking Swiftâs biggest week ever. The only album with a bigger opening is Adeleâs â25,â which sold 3.378 million copies in its first week back in 2015.
Taylor Swift’s ‘The Life of A Showgirl’ has officially broken the record for biggest vinyl sales week for any album in Nielsen history, with 1.2 million sold on release day.

After the Golden Globes announced that they were adding a âBest Podcastâ category to the show in 2026, âNew Heightsâ immediately reacted with interest.

While Kelce canât add âGolden Globe winnerâ to his resume this year, the 10-time Pro Bowler still has a lot to celebrate. Right now, he couldnât be prouder of his future wife and her success. And âNew Heightsâ getting a shoutout on Swiftâs track, âWood,â likely means more to the Chiefs star.
Swift told BBC 1 Radio that she played all of her new songs for Kelce after recording them with Max Martin and Shellback.
âI would play it for him as soon as I would come back from Sweden,â Swift said. âAs soon as I got back I would play it. I knew that this was the kind of album that he was going to love the most, heâs so supportive of all it, but heâs a real vibes guy.â
