The Golden State Warriors are set to enter a crucial season.
The Warriors will look to build off their stellar second half and postseason run from last season and establish themselves as a powerhouse in the loaded Western Conference. The West is a ganuelnt as multiple teams could make their mark this season.
The Warriors are in a good spot to do just that as currently constituted; however, a trade could always be on the horizon. Golden State showed that to be the case last season when they traded for Jimmy Butler, and as the 2025-26 season approaches, they may be in line to make yet another blockbuster trade.
According to Brett Siegel of Clutch Points, the Warriors could make a massive blockbuster trade for three-time All-Star Bam Adebayo.
āBam Adebayo is another All-Star in the East who would be at the top of the Warriorsā list of potential trade targets if he were to ever request a trade from the Miami Heat, sources said.ā
The Warriors have the pieces to make a trade for Adebayo, and they have a history of making trades with the Miami Heat, so there is precedent there.
If the Warriors do make a trade for Adebayo, that would surely shorten up their frontcourt and possibly put them among the title favorites this season. The 28-year-old has spent his entire career in South Beach and has been phenomenal for them.
In eight NBA seasons, Adebayo has averaged 15.7 points per game, 8.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals while shooting 53.7 percent from the field and 31.4 percent from three in 567 games and 30.6 minutes of action.
On top of that, Adebayo has also led the Heat to two trips to the NBA Finals. While the team has failed to come away with a title, they have been in contention for most of their time there.
That may not be the case as the season approaches. The Heta were lackluster last season, and they are not expected to do much this season. If the Heat are underwhelming this season, the Heat could make Adebayo available for trade.
