Gavin Newsom somehow puts Kid Rock, Taylor Swift and the shutdown in same tweet

California Governor Gavin Newsom continues to mock President Donald Trump with his tweets and his latest one is no exception.
Newsom’s press office X account put out a tweet today, in all caps, addressing the government shutdown, but somehow included both Kid Rock and Taylor Swift in it.
“With Washington shut down, I, Gavin C. Newsom, am now the leader of the free world,” the California governor wrote in all caps. “My platform is very simple: Health care for all Americans (no measles!), free school meals (wow pudding for everyone), free childcare (the moms love me! More babies!!), good paying jobs, and no more evil tariffs.”
In the mock-style tweet, Newsom also said eggs will be free, hair gel subsidies will be available, “only for handsome democrats,” and added that he will also legalize cannabis.
Then, came the Taylor Swift and Kid Rock mentions.
“And no more Ticketmaster fees (for the Swifties. Fees stay for Kid Rock).
Newsom has been mocking President Trump with his tweets for weeks and even creating AI images of himself in the style of the President’s own AI images.
The U.S. government shut down at midnight. According to the Associated Press, senators will return to Washington, D.C. on Friday to vote again on a GOP measure to extend federal funding for seven weeks after a break tomorrow for the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur.
