🔔YANKEES DRAMA ERUPTS: Jazz Chisholm roars back with a loud statement after his shocking Game 1 benching against the Red Sox, the move sends shockwaves through the clubhouse as tensions simmer, chatter explodes over what this means for New York’s lineup, and the burning question remains… did the Yankees just light a fire under their spark plug?..ll

Another Jazz Chisholm Jr. injury scare has Yankees fans holding their breathJazz Chisholm Jr. clearly wasn’t thrilled.

The New York Yankees’ star second baseman was on the bench for Game 1 of the AL Wild Card Round against the Boston Red Sox, and the Yankees lost.

Afterward, Chisholm was surrounded by New York media members who wanted to know how he felt about the surprising decision.

Chisholm conducted his entire postgame interview with his back to reporters, which spoke volumes.

And when asked if he and manager Aaron Boone had spoken about the choice, Chisholm said, “It’s a little conversation after it. Not much. Just move forward after it.”

The Yankees’ thinking certainly had to do with Red Sox ace Garrett Crochet, who is a power lefty and a difficult platoon matchup for Chisholm.

But Jazz also had a 30-30 season for the Yanks and has been one of their couple best players ever since the 2024 trade deadline when he came over from the Miami Marlins.

There’s something to be said for dancing with the ones that brung ya, and Chisholm certainly helped bring the Yankees to this point.

With their backs against the wall, they’ll certainly turn to Chisholm now.

It’ll be up to Jazz to show he’s got the mental fortitude to overcome the benching and deliver.

Because if not, the Yankees might be going home after playing their star second baseman as a starter in just one of their two postseason games.
