Fans resurfaced an old post from the former NBA champion’s sister, which she wrote after the 2022 NBA Finals when the Celtics lost to the Warriors in six games.

Warriors supporters saw this resurfaced post on X and made their feelings known about the same.

Al Horford averaged 12.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists while shooting 62.5% from three-point range in the 2022 NBA Finals, but that was not enough to surpass the Warriors. Naturally, his sister Anna Horford, who loves the Celtics dearly, was upset at the time.

Even now, Anna Horford has not held back on social media as she seemed to hint that she would’ve preferred if Horford stayed with the Celtics instead of joining the Warriors.

Following the confirmation of the signing, Anna Horford went on social media and shared a collage of images from her brother’s days on the Celtics, along with a picture of Paul Pierce crying, showing her ‘current mood’ about leaving.

“Boston Forever,” read the caption of her post, hinting at her gratitude and that her allegiances still lie with that team even when her brother has joined the Warriors. This shows that she might still resonate with the same feelings about the team, despite her brother’s addition to their roster.

Al Horford averaged 9.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists while shooting 36.3% from behind the arc on 5.2 attempts per game in 2024-25. This shows that the power forward can play as a solid stretch big for the Warriors alongside Quinten Post.

Once we get the details about the multi-year contract (expected to be a two-year, $11.7 million deal), we will get a better understanding of how the Warriors can proceed in the Jonathan Kuminga situation that persists for their front office.
