The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Baltimore Ravens in one of Week 4’s most anticipated games, a matchup featuring two of the AFC’s top teams.

The Ravens have scored 111 points across three games this season, an average of 37 points per outing and have yet to be held under 30.

That offensive consistency presents a major challenge for Kansas City’s defense, which will look to counter Lamar Jackson and company in front of a home crowd.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs, led by Patrick Mahomes, have enjoyed consistent success against the Ravens in recent years, winning four of their last five meetings, including the playoffs.

That dominance has only heightened the stakes ahead of Sunday’s clash at Arrowhead Stadium, where Baltimore arrives boasting the league’s most explosive offense.

While the Ravens seek to reverse their fortune against the Chiefs, they’ll also have another historical record to contend with.

Sunday’s game will be officiated by Clay Martin, marking the eighth time he has refereed a Chiefs game since Mahomes became the team’s starting quarterback in 2018. In the previous seven contests, Kansas City holds a perfect 7-0 record with Martin as the lead official, including last season’s divisional-round victory over the Houston Texans. On the flipside, the Ravens have lost all three games Martin has officiated since 2020.

In an interview with Warren Sharp, NFL officiating analyst Joe Gibbs recalled some of the most recent Chiefs games refereed by Martin.

“If people remember Martin did two games of the Chiefs last year, and you’ll remember these Warren Black Friday against the Raiders and then the divisional round matchup against the Texans,” Gibbs said. “They were both extremely controversial and so we may well see something like that down the stretch on Sunday as well with some questionable calls.”

Chiefs supporters will hope the streak continues on Sunday, but nothing will come easily against a Ravens team that enters in top form. Jackson’s offense has been ruthless, and Baltimore will be aiming to flip the historical narrative in this rivalry.

Kickoff between the Chiefs and Ravens is set for 4:25 p.m. ET at Arrowhead Stadium, with CBS carrying the broadcast nationally. Kansas City will hope to capitalize off Baltimore’s shaky defense (32 opponent points allowed), with WR Xavier Worthy’s return a major boost to Mahomes and the Chiefs’ offense. The Ravens, meanwhile, will look to bounce back from Week 3’s loss to the Detroit Lions with a statement win.
