The Golden State Warriors‘ summer plans have hit a big roadblock with the Jonathan Kuminga situation, but it may be resolved soon.
And when it is, the team will get to work right away, signing some coveted free agents.
“The Warriors will be signing Al Horford, Seth Curry, Gary Payton II, and De’Anthony Melton once the Kuminga situation ends next week,” Marc Stein reported.

From the very start of the offseason, the rumors about this team have mostly swirled around Kuminga.
For a while, it seemed like he was definitely leaving Golden State, but then there became talk of a short-term qualifying offer.
He may elect to go that route, or could sign a multi-year deal.
No matter what happens, it seems clear that Kuminga is leaving his future options open and may not be with the Warriors for much longer.
Meanwhile, the team has had an eye on these other players.
Horford might be the most impactful of them all because he could hold down the front court and bring years of proven experience.
Payton has a strong relationship with the team, while Curry obviously has a close one with his brother.
As for Melton, he’s another star who could instantly fit right into Steve Kerr’s rotation.
The Kuminga negotiations will conclude soon, and he should sign a deal on or around October 1.
After a summer of sitting quietly, the Warriors are going to get very loud in the days ahead as they attempt to sign these players.
