The Kansas City Chiefs seemed to have no trouble towering over the New York Giants on Sunday, September 21, with a 22-9 win on the road. It was a must-win game for the Chiefs, because they were 0-2 heading into the game, and thereās no way they wanted to be 0-3 after Week 3. Thatās just not acceptable for a championship-winning franchise.
The Chiefs, of course, have plenty of people to thank for the victory, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce and head coach Andy Reid. But, itās not all about football. All of these players and coaches have personal lives, too, and theyāre constantly juggling their professional and personal lives to make everything work.
Whatās cool is when they can combine some of their personal passions with their sport of football. Now, Mahomes making good on a promise that he made back in May to some very special, up-and-coming football players.

Patrick Mahomes Talks High School Football
āHigh school football is key to not just developing players but teaching them about the effort and drive needed to succeed in this sport,ā Mahomes added, as reported by On3. āThat mentality of going āall inā is whatās driven me throughout my career and is what I hope Whitehouse and other programs adopt as they take the field in these Gladiator uniforms.ā
Ahead of the season starting, Fox Sports released its tally of the best quarterbacks in the league, and they named Mahomes the top pick, although he was tied with Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.
āWhen you win two of the last three Super Bowls, youāre clearly one of the leagueās best players. Statistically, it wasnāt always pretty last year, but Mahomes and the Chiefs somehow finished atop their division and conference,ā Henry McKenna noted in the piece.
Now that Jackson and the Ravens have lost to the Lions, we think Mahomes should be No. 1.
