💣💣💣BOMBSHELL: YANKEES TARGET $260M EIGHT-TIME ALL-STAR — The Yankees are reportedly eyeing a $260 million, eight-time All-Star as a reclamation project, drawing parallels to their successful acquisition of Paul Goldschmidt, insiders suggest this bold move could reshape the team’s future, and fans are buzzing about the potential impact on New York’s championship aspirations.

Nolan Arenado reports to Cardinals camp 'ready to go play ball' | ReutersThe New York Yankees have had a successful season this year, and are looking like they’re heading into another playoff appearance. However, that shouldn’t stop them from trying to upgrade their roster in the offseason.

According to Sports Illustrated’s Patrick McAvoy, they could try to do another reclamation project like they did with Paul Goldschmidt. This time, they would go with another St. Louis Cardinal in Nolan Arenado.

“Another team that has had questions at third base. There was a lot of buzz about the Yankees and Arenado, although it was overblown. It was mainly speculation and nothing from the team. But, Paul Goldschmidt had a bounce-back season in New York. Why not Arenado? There’s one year less on Arenado’s deal now. Is that enough to get the Yankees interested?” McAvoy wrote.

Right now, the Yankees have Ryan McMahon at third, and he’s doing less than optimal. Slashing a line of .214/.311/.379/.690 with 19 homers, he leaves less to be desired. Arenado on the other hand slashes .236/.292/.365/.656 with 10 homers. He also brings an amazing glove, with 10 Gold Gloves and eight Platinum Gloves.

If the Yanks could get Goldschmidt to bounce back at first base and DH, getting Arenado to bounce back from a down year is just as plausible. Hopefully they at least inquire about him, and see if it can work.
