Tottenham Hotspur entertained Villarreal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a win at home in the UEFA Champions League. Spurs had a fortunate start to the game as they found themselves 1-0 up in the fourth minute due to an own goal from Luiz Junior. Thomas Frank’s men sat on their lead well and went into the half-time break 1-0 to the good.

The North London club controlled the game well in the second half and managed to grind out a narrow 1-0 win in front of their home fans.
